A sale is credited to you only if the link carries your own affiliate tag or ID. Set them up once, before your first video.
Your affiliate accounts
Go to Me › Affiliate accounts. The list always shows Amazon US, Amazon CA, Impact (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Canadian Tire…), Awin (Etsy and more), TikTok Shop and Shopify. Tap a program to add or edit your tag.
- Amazon: find your tracking ID in Amazon Associates under Manage Tracking IDs. It usually ends in -20. Amazon.com and Amazon.ca are separate programs with separate tags.
- Impact and Awin: enter the publisher or partner ID from your network account.
- Removing a tag: new links won’t carry it, and links you already shared keep working.
Your tags go straight into your links. Vidmerce never redirects or cloaks them, and commissions are paid by each program to your own affiliate account.
On a product page
Each product shows whether you’ve joined its program. “Joined as yourtag-20” means your links are ready, and Copy my link copies a link with your tag. “Not joined yet” comes with a button such as Add your Amazon tag.
When you paste an Amazon link that already carries a tag, the app offers to save it: “Save yourtag-20 as your Amazon tag?” Tap Save tag. If a link has no tag of yours, the app warns you before you approve the video: “Sales won’t be credited to you — add your Amazon tag.”
Your storefront handle
Your storefront is a page at vidmerce.app/@yourhandle that lists the products from your videos, with your direct links and the store’s disclosure. Viewers tap a product and go straight to the store.
- Me › Your link › Pick your handle (or Change handle). Use 3 to 24 lowercase letters, numbers, “_” or “.”, starting and ending with a letter or number.
- Changing it is safe: your old link keeps working for 30 days. You can change it 3 times in 30 days.
- Edit profile adds your name and a bio of up to 280 characters, shown on your storefront.
Put your link in your bio
Most videos say “Link in bio”, so the link has to be there. Tap Copy link for your bio, then paste it in your TikTok, Instagram and YouTube profiles. How to add it to your bio shows the steps for each platform. The app reminds you once, after your first approval or your first connected account.
TikTok Shop data (US)
- Me › Data connections › TikTok Shop (US) shows real commission rates for TikTok Shop products. It is a data connection only: it never posts. Coming soon
Before your first post, open your storefront link on your phone and tap one product. Check that the store page opens and that the link carries your tag.
